Abadatezuka CO-OP - Rwanda
The Abadatezuka CO-OP - Rwanda roast originates from the Abadatezuka Cooperative, a collective of smallholder farmers in Rwanda's Western Province, who deliver their coffee cherries to the Cyato Washing Station in the Nayamasheke district. Grown at elevations reaching 2,200 meters, the coffee benefits from native honeybees, fertile soil, and a cool climate influenced by Lake Kivu. The microlot selection process ensures the highest cup quality, distinguishing it from bulked day lots. Situated in the Western Province, bordering Lake Kivu and Nyungwe Forest, the region's tropical environment and unique soil composition facilitate specialty coffee production. With tasting notes of rich bourbon, caramelized peaches, and dark cherries, this lighter roast is best enjoyed as espresso or pour over.
