Gakenke
Gakenke is a Burundi single-origin coffee from the Gakenke Washing Station in Kayanza, where over 2,600 smallholder farmers deliver coffee cherries for processing. Grown at 1,650–1,950 MASL and made up of Bourbon varieties, this washed microlot highlights the bright, fruit-forward character Burundi coffees are known for. The cup features notes of dried pear, dried apple, and Coca-Cola, creating a crisp, sweet, and lively profile. This Burundi specialty coffee is ideal for drip, espresso, cold brew and showcases the vibrant acidity and complexity that make coffees from Kayanza highly sought after.
